Artist Statement:

My work is a reflection of identity, grief, and resilience, blending Cubism and Expressionism with vibrant colors that contrast the depth of my subject matter.

As a self-taught artist, I use acrylic and watercolor to explore themes of mental health, LGBTQ+ identity, the current political climate and personal loss.

Over the years, my practice has evolved into single-line abstract art which I developed in the midst of the grieving process I encountered after losing my mother to cancer. These fluid, continuous lines mirror the emotional weight of depression and healing, creating pieces that are both raw and expressive. Despite the heaviness of these themes, I use bold colors to invite viewers in, encouraging them to engage with the story beneath the surface.
